How to Apply
Domestic Students

Domestic students must submit a FAFSA application. The deadline is March 1st.
​
International Students
​
International students must submit an International Certification of Finances. To obtain an electronic copy, email David Blackmon at david.blackmon@yale.edu.

Returning or Incoming Students
​
Returning or incoming students must complete a College Board Profile and use the following code for the Yale School of Art: CSS Code 3807. The deadline is March 15th.

Types of Aid
Different types of aid are available.
​
Work study and part-time employment enables you to apply for a job at Yale School of Art. The current hourly pay is $13.50. Click here to view job openings. ​​
​​
Teaching assistantships are created by deans and faculty members. They are usually available to second-year students and may last one or two terms. Monthly payments are between $500-$700.
​​
Student grants are searchable here.
​​
​Fellowships are available to Americans who are under 31. If you meet the requirements, you can apply for the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowships for New Americans.
​
If you are a veteran, you may be eligible for additional financial assistance through the Veterans Administration (VA). Visit their website for more information.
